We start with a consultation so we can get to know you a bit better and review your riding and athletic history, goals, objectives, strengths, weaknesses, current and past injuries, current training/riding, etc. We listen so we can meet you where you are at a moment in time.
Discussing your bike must haves, budget, needs and a deep dive into bike geometries so we can help you narrow things down effectively
We conduct a basic flexibility and structural movement assessment that will help us understand how your body moves off the bike, helping us pin point potential issues that could affect you while riding.
Using a sizing bike, we’ll explore which bike set up is the perfect fit for you, including all parts, from handlebars to cranks, stem and everything in between. Once we have set your best position, we will explore which brands / models will work best for your individual needs.
As well as recommending various bikes and components to suit you, we will also dive deep into shoe fit, pedal choice, cleats, insoles and more
We will make all needed adjustments to your position and bike. This is a trial and error process, listening to your feedback as we progress. We adjust all parts of the bike: saddle, handlebars, shoes/cleats, cranks, etc.
Once you have your new bike, as well as everything else recommended in the first appointment, it is time to get the bike perfectly set up for you!
Along side using our eyes, we use several tools for objective data collection, which helps us make more informed decisions:
1 - STT and/or Retul 3D motion capture to dynamically capture an enormous amount of data as you ride. We track all moving parts of your body simultaneously while you ride under different workloads, looking at both left and right sides
2 - 3D saddle pressure data is captured while you ride using GebioMized
3 - 3D foot pressure data is captured while you ride using GebioMized (level II only)
4 - For key instant & visual feedback, 2D (video) analysis is used if needed
Our analysis process has a very large emphasis on technique and posture coaching while riding, including prescription of exercises and technique correction, as needed
We use a digital measuring device to record the bike's final set up.
We also keep notes of everything that was done during your analysis session and key discussion points for future reference
After the dynamic cycling analysis session has been completed , a file containing your position on the bike (left and right), your bike position, geometry and saddle pressure data will be uploaded to your account within our online booking system.
We provide email support following the fitting during the adaptation period (~2-3 weeks)
We will review it as a part of the initial process within 2 months of the initial assessment date
